Texan chili con carne does not include beans either, nor any tomato products, just a thick chili paste mixed with ground beef in a winning combo.

  • If you would like to prepare a mild chili con carne, replace jalapeno pepper with green bell pepper, and do not add chili paste and jalapeno powder.
  • You can use different spices and prepare your favorite combination in advance. You can add some extra virgin olive oil in the mixture and store it in the refrigerator for weeks.
  • Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, roasted corn, and chopped chives.
