How to cook bread pudding
Ingredients
- 8 cups day-old bread
- 5 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 3/4 cup raisins, or other dried fruit
- 1 cup chopped and lightly toasted nuts
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon or freshly ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon-sugar mixture
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 325 F.
- Grease a tray with butter.
